The Diversity Stride Walk-A-Thon is the American Conference on Diversity’s fastest growing program. The Diversity Stride brings participants together to promote and celebrate diversity throughout New Jersey. Every year, walkers from around the state raise money by asking their friends, family, co-workers and neighbors to sponsor them as they take the “Diversity Stride.” The money raised by walkers, business sponsorships, and individual donations will fund the American Conference on Diversity’s Youth Leadership Institute programs.
WALK DAY LOGISTICS:
12:00 Registration
12:00 -12:50 Enjoy music played by our Diversity Stride DJ and a Steel Drum Band; a Step Team performance, Salsa dancing and more!
1:00 Ribbon Cutting and Step-off
2:30 Return from walking; Food and refreshments are served
2:30 – 3:30 More music is played by our DJ, a Steel Drum Band, and a Klezmer Band
DIRECTIONS TO LIBERTY STATE PARK
1.Take Exit 14B off the NJ Turnpike
2.Just after the toll plaza; make a slight left onto the ramp then a slight left onto Bay View Avenue, which will become Morris Pesin Drive
3.Make a left on Freedom Way
4.At the end of Freedom Way, turn right on Audrey Zapp Drive
5.The Ferry Parking Lot will be ahead on the right.
* There will be Diversity Stride signs to direct you along the way.
* We apologize for any inconvenience; however, we are unable to provide free parking for the Diversity Stride, and all cars will be charged $5 to park.
Diversity Stride Registration will take place in the South Field: Once you have parked; continue to walk along Audrey Zapp Drive towards the Historic CRRNJ Train Terminal. The South Field is adjacent to the Historic Train Terminal. There will be individuals at access points to the South Field that will be able to direct you to the registration areas.
